Long-time performers Susan Ellenton & Robert Anderson are known for their easy rapport, fine songwriting and beautifully blended harmonies. They’ve played folk clubs, block parties, summer camps and festivals from Nova Scotia to New Zealand.
Susan’s musical roots run deep in Canadiana and the participatory songs of summer camp. Her songs range from a capella call & response to evocative storytelling at the piano. These days she finds inspiration in a beat-up little red Hohner accordion.
Robert grew up singing jazz with his Dad, who gave him his first guitar. He began songwriting as a teenager, influenced by Dylan, Lennon, Cohen and Cockburn. Fascinated with the challenges of hand-building his own instruments, Robert has become a highly-respected luthier; he currently teaches guitar-building in his Victoria workshop.
Susan and Robert’s most recent low-carbon-footprint regional tour has taken them from Victoria to Oak Bay, Courtenay and Bamfield and now to the Saanich Penninsula.
